After over 30 years of maintaining, building and creating one of the great sports complexes in Minnesota at the St. Cloud MAC, it was time to act on a long held belief of mine. I always believed that anyone who played football, baseball, soccer, golf-any sport played on turf should be able to play on great turf. I also believe that creating that type of facility is not a question of dollars but expertise which is exactly what I bring to the table.
Professionally, I am affiliated with The Golf Course Superintendents of America, The Sports Turf Managers Association, Minnesota Turf Managers Association and the American Baseball Coaches Association. I regularly attend continuing ed. classes ranging from Golf Course Drainage Problems to national turf related expos across the nation. I have all of the appropriate and necessary licensure from the State of Minnesota and maintain contact with my peers across the state. I have developed a nationwide network that gives me problem solving access.
I think what is most important about my qualifications is I learned on the job. Over the course of my career I have managed a huge number of seasonal employees, scheduled thousands of contests, and operated a Municipal Golf Course. Early in my career I organized events from the Shrine Circus at the MAC to organizing an event for then candidate George W. Bush at Dick Putz field. I have developed budgets, worked with underground irrigation, organized special events and took care of the needs of over 60,000 fans per season with the St. Cloud Rox. Nothing surprises me and there is no problem that does not have a solution.
Turf grass and associated facilities management is what I do. The difference is I am looking for a bigger venue than one facility. My goal is to provide the best turf that can be supplied to your participants. If we can accomplish that through consultation, then lets take that route. But if you require more, my expertise can fill your need. I have done it for 30+ years.
